Castel, one of France's largest wine companies, have marketed a wine inspired by Valentines Day called Saint Amour. “Why not?”, you might think. However you will think twice when you realise what comes with it.
It's a Beaujolais wine that will be served along with a Durex Easy On condom in restaurants throughout France. Nine thousand bottles of the red wine have been produced — sporting a devil on the label complete with an accompanying condom. The novelty will be marketed with the tagline, "Where there is no wine, there is no love," attributed to the Greek poet Euripides (480–06 BC). I have to agree with Wine Spectator who have commented: “He is probably spinning in his grave”.
