Home diva Martha Stewart, who has stamped her name on all things domestic from sheets and towels to pots and pans, will be serving up another edition: wine. Martha has forged a partnership with E.&J. Gallo Winery to develop a brand of wines under the label "Martha Stewart Vintage" to be offered in 6 cities beginning in January. The wines will sell for about $15.
Well, I don't think she has much class! But then she is trying to regain her business empire . . . maybe that's why she is choosing quantity over quality.
In 2002, she was accused of insider trading and in 2004 she was convicted. Since her release from prison in March 2005, Martha has been focused on reviving the fortunes of her businesses, which had suffered due to media coverage of the scandal, her conviction and incarceration, and the resulting volatile price of her company's stock.
